The name Aressana is derived from the script found at the Acrotiri excavations dating back to l500 BC. Archaeologists believe this to be the name a young maiden that offered gifts to the gods. Housed in a design by celebrated Greek architects, Thomas Gavalas and Dora Monioudi, Hotel Aressana Santorini has become to epitomize the gracious hospitality that the Santorinian people are renown for.
